2026-08-04 16:41:20

At ATAD, people development is more than an HR function. It is an integral part of the Company’s sustainable development strategy, strengthening long-term competitiveness and supporting its positioning as a Global Steel Structure Partner. It is also a key focus within the Social pillar of ATAD’s ESG strategy.

A Comprehensive Learning and Development Ecosystem

ATAD aims to build a Continuous Learning Culture, where every employee proactively enhances their capabilities to adapt to the increasing demands of the construction industry and the global market.

To realise this commitment, ATAD has developed the ATAD E-Learning system as an internal learning platform, offering a wide range of courses covering foundational knowledge, professional expertise and department-specific skills. Available in both Vietnamese and English, the system enables employees to learn flexibly anytime, anywhere, while allowing international employees to easily access the Company’s training programmes.

Alongside online learning, ATAD regularly organises in-person training programmes at its offices and factories to update professional knowledge, enhance professional skills and strengthen practical capabilities. The combination of online and in-person training formats helps create a flexible learning environment while enabling knowledge to be effectively applied to real work situations.

Enhancing Capabilities for International Integration

As ATAD continues to expand its presence across more than 60 countries, developing the capabilities required to work effectively in an international environment has become increasingly important.

In addition to professional training, the Company implements various programmes to develop soft skills, communication, presentation, teamwork and cross-cultural collaboration. ATAD has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Open English to enhance employees’ English proficiency, contributing to stronger connections with customers, partners and international project teams.

By developing professional expertise alongside global competencies, ATAD is building a workforce that is well-equipped to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the global market.

Developing the Workforce of the Future

People development extends beyond the organisation itself. ATAD also works closely with universities, colleges and professional communities to help build a highly skilled workforce for the steel structure industry.

Over the past three years, ATAD has implemented a wide range of strategic partnerships with educational institutions through cooperation agreements, industry seminars, factory visits, site experience programmes, internships, career orientation activities and scholarships for students. These initiatives help bridge the gap between academic education and the practical needs of the steel structure industry, while contributing to the development of high-quality talent for the long-term growth of Vietnam’s construction sector.

Developing Capabilities to Drive Sustainable Development

For ATAD, sustainable development is not only a business objective but also an organisational capability that must be built across the entire Company.

ATAD has implemented various training programmes on ESG, sustainability reporting under GRI Standards, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), ISO 27001 and management systems aligned with international standards. Through coordination between the Training Department and relevant functional teams, employees are gradually equipped with the knowledge needed to proactively integrate sustainability criteria into governance, manufacturing and project execution activities.

For ATAD, investment in training goes beyond enhancing individual skills. It directly strengthens the Company’s execution capabilities. A workforce with strong professional expertise, effective collaboration skills and the agility to adapt to international standards provides the foundation for ATAD to deliver large-scale projects and meet the increasingly demanding expectations of customers around the world.

Strengthening the Learning and Talent Development Ecosystem

Guided by the principles of “Structured Pathways – Practical Learning – Measurable Impact”, ATAD’s training approach is evolving from delivering standalone training courses towards building a comprehensive capability development ecosystem. Under this approach, every position is supported by a clear learning pathway, defined competency standards and a structured development plan.

Looking ahead, training content will become even more closely aligned with real-world job requirements, with a stronger focus on problem-solving capabilities and practical application across business and manufacturing operations. At the same time, ATAD will strengthen succession planning, enhance English proficiency in alignment with CEFR standards, further digitalise learning through a Learning Management System (LMS), and develop Mini-Academies within individual departments to encourage internal trainers and subject-matter experts to share knowledge and practical experience.

Through a structured and long-term investment in people, ATAD is not only strengthening individual capabilities but also building a Learning Organisation with a workforce ready to meet international standards, enhance execution excellence and contribute to the Company’s long-term sustainable growth.
