In August, 31st 2012, ATAD Steel Structure Corporation began construction of Thot Not’s rice market project in Thot Not District, Can Tho City which was invested by Vinafood 2 Corporation.
This market is built on an area of 24.5 hectares, a total investment of nearly 813 billions VND, including items such as: storage system for 150,000 tons rice, processing plant with capacity of 350,000 tons / year, drying yark, loading and unloading ports and other public services’ kiosk … They expected that phase 1 of this project will be put into operation in 2013 and phase 2 will be completed in 2015.
The market does not only help reduce the cost of unnecessary intermediate distribution channels but also improve the farmers’ income and when Thot Not rice market was run, it has probably become the biggest one in the Mekong Delta.
Mr Nguyen Le Anh Tuan – the general director of ATAD committed that “We would do the best and with all their efforts and determination, ATAD would be completed the project in a good accordance with safety, schedule and quality requirements in other to confirm ATAD construction competence especially in food industry workshop segment”.
