On the afternoon of August 10, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited to check the progress, meet and encourage workers… involved in the construction project of the T3 passenger terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. This is the third time the Prime Minister has come to inspect and direct the acceleration of the project.

The T3 terminal project at Tan Son Nhat International Airport has a capacity of 20 million passengers per year. The project includes one basement level and four above-ground levels, covering a total area of 112,000 square meters. The total investment for the project is nearly 11 trillion VND, with the Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) as the investor.
The project commenced at the end of December 2022, during the Tet holiday of the year of the Dragon 2024, when Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the construction site to inspect and encourage the units working on the project. He also directed the removal of difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the project’s progress.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with the investor, contractors, and workers currently engaged at the T3 terminal in Tan Son Nhat.
As of now, approximately 55% of the T3 terminal project has been completed, with the rough construction portion finished at 100%.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that both runways at Tan Son Nhat Airport are currently jammed and overloaded. Therefore, the urgent requirement is to alleviate the burden and congestion at Tan Son Nhat terminal.
The Prime Minister requested the investor to cooperate with related agencies and continue to promote the spirit of “just work, no retreat,” “overcome the sun, win the rain,” “eat when you can, sleep quickly,” and “work three shifts with four teams,” ensuring work is done continuously even during holidays and Tet to implement the construction project with guaranteed quality, technical standards, aesthetics, safety, and environmental hygiene.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the 3,000 workers working at the project site.
Gifts were given to the workers present there.
The Prime Minister urged ACV to concentrate the investor’s manpower, consulting units, and construction contractors.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the selection of contractors must be public, transparent, and compliant with regulations to prevent negativity, corruption, and loss, and to ensure that no personnel are lost.
The investor ACV has committed to completing the project on schedule.
