Located in the Western Pacific, Palau is an island nation on the list of top 10 ‘most touristy’ islands in the world. With great potential for tourism development, Surangels shopping mall was built to meet increased tourism demand. After finishing, this will be the biggest shopping mall in Palau.
With experience in implementing a series of commercial building projects at domestic and overseas, ATAD was trusted to be chosen as a steel structure contractor design, fabrication, and erection for the project. The shopping mall was built with a modern architecture with a floor area of over 10,000 m2 using the entire steel structure with a volume of 1,200 ton. For projects with large floor areas like Surengals, ATAD has provided the optimal steel structure solutions to shorten construction time and increase open space inside the center. Besides, the main structure of the center uses high-strength steels capable of bearing and the corrosion and erosion system of sea salt causing rust to ensure the longevity of the building under natural conditions of Palau.
Although implementing a project with large-scale in a new market in very first time, with experienced project management, ATAD’s engineer was able to deliver a project on time with quality and safety.
