Cai Mep coal storage is part of the Cai Mep general port project complex, which includes many large items built synchronously such as large-scale cargo wharves and conveyor systems in Cai Mep Industrial Zone, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, Vietnam.
This is one of the large items with complicated steel structure and high difficulty in erection. The warehouse is designed in the style of a slope house to take advantage of storage space and improve operational performance. A special feature of the project is the roof height of up to 35m and the roof slope of 84% along with the construction conditions in weak geological environment and high windy seaport weather which is a challenge and a difficult problem in ensuring safety for workers during the erection process.
