The fare plan for the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien Metro is built on the principle of affordability of the majority of people, compared with the fare of the Cat Linh – Ha Dong Metro (Hanoi); bus; increasing competitiveness with private vehicles to attract metro passengers… The city plans to issue more than 2 million Metro No. 1 cards in the first phase, serving an estimated 40,000 passengers per day.
In addition to the fare plan, in the first 30 days of commercial operation, passengers on the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien Metro and 17 connecting bus routes will be exempted from tickets to encourage people to use the first metro line in the area.
The first metro line of Ho Chi Minh City is now 100% complete, in the process of assessing system safety, acceptance, and expected to be officially put into operation on December 22. Previously, from the beginning of October, the project entered the trial run phase, with each train running at an interval of about 4 minutes 30 seconds to 10 minutes, simulating similar situations to commercial exploitation to prepare for welcoming passengers next month.
Approved in 2007, construction started in 2012, the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien Metro is nearly 20 km long, connecting the city center to the eastern gateway. The entire line has 11 elevated stations, 3 underground stations, with a total investment of more than 43,700 billion VND.
ATAD is honored to be selected as the steel structure contractor for the project, responsible for detailed design, production and installation of steel frame covering items. In particular, the highlight of the project is Tan Cang Station – one of the most important stations on Metro Line 1. The station is 137.5m long, 31m wide and 20m high, consisting of three floors.
This item has a complex dome structure with round tubes, requiring high technical requirements as well as absolute precision in the production and installation process. Currently, ATAD is speeding up the progress, completing the production of components and deploying the installation of the roof structure system at Tan Cang Station.
