During his working visit to Dong Nai, on the afternoon of September 24, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited to check the progress of the Long Thanh airport project and the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway.

At the major construction site of Long Thanh airport, the Prime Minister noted that compared to the first inspection, the project has shown relatively optimistic results, with many hopes and confidence. The shape of the airport is becoming clearer, with several contracts ahead of schedule, and thousands of workers and construction equipment mobilized on site.
This is the fourth time the Prime Minister has checked and urged this key project.
The Prime Minister commended Dong Nai province for its significant efforts in land clearance; he also thanked the people of Dong Nai for relocating and giving up their land for the project. He praised the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, the contractors, the construction units, the consulting firms, and over 6,000 engineers, workers, and laborers who have “overcome the sun, conquered the rain, and braved the storms,” “working 3 shifts, 4 teams,” and “working through holidays and breaks” to accelerate construction progress and bring the projects to completion ahead of schedule.

The Prime Minister called for the launch of a 450-day emulation campaign to complete the project by December 31, 2025. He emphasized: “With the current momentum in the construction of Long Thanh airport, we are ready to implement the North-South high-speed railway project, another symbol of the new development phase of the country – the era of the nation’s resurgence.”
At the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway project, the Prime Minister highlighted that this is an important project, serving as a key route that connects localities with many growth drivers; linking major airports and seaports… Currently, the existing issue is that the site clearance and the source of embankment soil for construction are not yet available.
Therefore, the Prime Minister urged Dong Nai to focus on this task, quickly complete the site clearance to hand over the site to the contractors and grant licenses for soil mining.
