December 22, 2024, the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien Metro Line 1, part of Ho Chi Minh City’s urban railway project, officially begins operation—marking a significant milestone in the development of the city’s public transportation infrastructure. The project, when operational, will help connect the central area to the city’s eastern gateway.
The project is designed and assembled according to Japanese standards. ATAD is proud to be the steel structure contractor responsible for the detailed design, production, and installation of the steel frame enclosures for the project. We are constructing 11 stations with a total area of over 36,000m². ATAD has coordinated with the Japanese general contractor, Sumitomo Mitsui, and the contractor GS – E&C, from the design phase to installation, ensuring the project is completed with high quality.
We have invested in modern, imported machinery and technology. We used the DAVI machine from Italy to bend large-diameter arch pipes. The LINCOLN welding system from the USA ensures high-quality weld seams. Additionally, the laser and the total station machine are used to inspect the accuracy of the details.
Each station in Metro Line 1 is a result of combining modern technology, creativity, and the continuous efforts of ATAD’s team. ATAD engineers and workers have overcome all obstacles to help build a world-class metro line, contributing to the city’s sustainable development.
At ATAD, we not only build structures but also shape the city’s future, where each citizen can enjoy the benefits of modern transportation infrastructure, ensuring convenience and safety in every journey.
