On the morning of December 19, 234 key projects were launched, inaugurated, and technically opened to celebrate the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress and the 14th National Party Congress. The event took place in a hybrid format, connecting locations across the country via live broadcast.

As part of the program, Long Thanh International Airport officially completed key facilities and welcomed its first technical flights. Three aircraft operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways landed safely in sequence. Notably, a Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner carried Permanent Deputy Prime Minister along with nearly 100 passengers.

The occasion marks a major milestone for Vietnam’s most important aviation infrastructure project, bringing the airport closer to full commercial operations.

Proud to be part of this historic moment, ATAD Steel Structure constructed more than 80% of the terminal’s main steel structure and roof system – “the heart” of the project, the most technically demanding and complex component of Long Thanh International Airport.

Driven by a “come rain or shine” spirit, and under the close direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, together with strong leadership from the investor, consultants, and seamless coordination among all stakeholders, ATAD and partners delivered the project on schedule, meeting stringent international standards of quality, safety, and technical accuracy.
The arrival of the first technical flights at Long Thanh International Airport not only opens a new chapter for Vietnam’s aviation infrastructure, but also represents a meaningful milestone for ATAD – affirming ATAD’s capability to deliver world-class, large-scale national and international landmark projects.
