In recently, along with the rapid development of economic, social, tourism and investment, demand for transportation and travel by air of Hai Phong and the region also increases. On 21/4/2015, the project “Construction of Passenger Terminal – Cat Bi International Airport” has been already started construction, with a total investment of about 1.500 billion VND, by the Airport Corporation Vietnam – ACV as an investor. Cat Bi International Airport has expected to put into operation in 2016 will be one of the largest International Airport in Vietnam.
In occasion of 60th anniversary of Haiphong liberation (5/13/1955 – 5/13/2015), in the middle April, 2015, ACV has selected and signed the construction contract of terminal building: road stories and auxiliaries items, and ATAD Steel Structure Corporation was entrusted awarded for the scope of work: detailed design, manufacture and construction of steel structure and roofing system. Steel structure product for Cat Bi Airport Project will produce on the newest fabrication line and new technology equipment at ATAD’s factory, to ensure quality, aesthetics and provide the fast-track schedule.
With attention direction of the Ministry of Transport, Hai Phong City People’s Committee, Airports Corporation Vietnam, ATAD and Contractor supervision consultant believe that Passenger Terminal Buildings – Cat Bi International Airport Project will be soon completed and put into effective operation
Description of project:
The Passenger Terminal has a total floor area: 15.630m2
There are 2 designed separate stations: arrival and departure. The international terminal is arranged in the eastern half, while the domestic terminal is arranged in the western half of the station. The station has two floors, 1st-floor layout for the arrival (both domestic and international), and 2nd-floor layout for the departure (both domestic and international).
