According to the City ODA Project Management Board. Can Tho, up to now the key project of Can Tho City is Tran Hoang Na Bridge. The project has a total investment of 791 billion VND from official development assistance (ODA) capital. Completed after 3.5 years of construction, opened to traffic on April 26, 2024.
Tran Hoang Na Bridge spanning Can Tho River is nearly 600m long, with 3 main steel spans. In particular, the middle span is 150m long, the two side spans are the same length of 49m. The project connects urban traffic between National Highway 1A and central roads, reducing vehicle traffic and traffic congestion on the city’s main roads. This is a connection and lever to promote economic development, attracting investors to Can Tho City and the southern provinces of Hau River.
