Colgate Factory – the first LEED silver green building in Vietnam
If we look at the outside of the building, the Colgate factory is like a normal pre-engineered steel building.
But this Colgate Factory has more special than that: it is certificated LEED green building (*).That means it has 25 percent lower energy use and reduces costs by 19 percent compared to the national average**. That’s so impressive!
* LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized green building certification system that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
** The data is based on the report of the average energy saving of LEED green building.
